A fiber switch board is the cover plate that holds your switches, sockets and fan regulator on the wall. It is one of the cheapest parts of a wiring job, but the wrong hole count means extra work.
Boards Available
- Pre-cut boards – 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 hole, several in off-white.
- Blank boards – white 4"x6" and 6"x8" boards with no holes.
How to Choose
- Count every switch, socket and indicator going on the board, then pick that hole count.
- Use a blank board when your layout does not match a pre-cut one.
- Measure the wall box so the board covers it fully.
- Keep the colour the same as other boards in the room.
