Types Available
- Gigabit SFP modules – the TP-Link TL-SM311LM multi-mode MiniGBIC and the IP-COM G311SM single-mode module.
- 10G SFP+ modules – Ficer 10G-LR 1310nm LC duplex and 10G-BX-D simplex transceivers.
- BiDi simplex SFP modules – Ficer models in Tx1310/Rx1550 and Tx1550/Rx1310 versions, listed as opposite ends of a link.
- PON modules – the BDCOM OLT-GSFP-C++ GPON and OLT-GSFP-20+++ EPON modules, plus a C-Data GPON SFP module.
How to Choose a Transceiver
- Match the fibre: single-mode (SM) and multi-mode modules are not interchangeable.
- Match the port on your switch: SFP for 1G, SFP+ for 10G.
- For a simplex BiDi link, use opposite wavelengths at each end, such as Tx1310/Rx1550 with Tx1550/Rx1310.
- For OLT ports, make sure the module type, GPON or EPON, matches your OLT.
